In the genre of Still Life my wish is to represent in art a selection of beautiful objects. Finely finished and realistically composed to give the impression of beauty, elegance and realism.

And while still life objects can be added as part of a larger composition to add influence, suggestion and even hidden messages, it is nice to present these objects in their own light. Allowing them to shine and tell a story all their own.

And I believe story telling and conversation pieces are a great way of depicting this genre. Small and beautiful, large and bold or simply realistically touchable. I find still life a fascinating and very telling subject.

I work in all sizes from small traditional to life sized. And on many surfaces from canvas (linen and cotton) to board and paper.
