My greatest muse in art has always been the horse, even from some of my earliest days. A creature of great grace and beauty, power and character. Coupled with my love of the sport of horseracing, I find no greater subject to portray.
And I believe the greatest compliment can be paid in oils. The richness of this medium allows the depiction of true depth and colour. While painting techniques can capture the fine detail and honesty of the subject.
Here are a selection of my paintings on various surfaces, from canvas (both linen and cotton), to board and paper.
I work in varying sizes from the small standards through to life-sized.
